Zusammenfassung:	To provide a cable that transmits a signal or power, which has a simple structure but achieves weight saving and withstands high tension.SOLUTION: A cable 1 has a transmission line 2 that transmits a signal or power, and a coating layer 3 that coats the transmission line 2 and is composed of carbon fiber. The coating layer 3 has high tension properties along longitudinal direction of the transmission line 2. In the coating layer 3, for example, one or more transmission lines 2 composed of optical cables are arranged. The transmission line 2 may be one for power transmission.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】簡単な構造でありながら、軽量化が図られ且つ高張力に耐え得る信号乃至は電力を伝送するケーブルを提供する。【解決手段】本発明のケーブル１は、信号乃至は電力を伝送する伝送線２と、伝送線２を被覆する炭素繊維からなる被覆層３とを有し、被覆層３は伝送線２の長手方向に沿って高張力特性を備える。この被覆層３内には、例えば、光ケーブルからなる伝送線２が１本乃至は複数本配設されている。伝送線２が、電力伝送を行うための電線とされてもよい。【選択図】図１
