METAL MOLD PRESENCE/ABSENCE DETECTION METHOD AND PRESS BRAKE

To provide a metal mold presence/absence detection method for detecting whether or not metal molds which are forgotten to be removed exist at metal mold attachment parts of a press brake, and the press brake for use in the method.SOLUTION: A metal mold presence/absence detection means for detecting the presence/absence of metal molds of a press brake which oppositely has upper and lower tables 5, 7 having metal mold attachment parts 9, 11 comprises ATCs 15, 19 for attaching and detaching the metal molds P, D to/from the metal mold attachment parts 9, 11 in left and right directions possessed by the tables 5, 7 so as to be movable in the left and right directions. Metal mold holding members 21 of the ATCs 15, 19 are held in a state of interfering with the metal molds P, D which are attached to the metal mold attachment parts 9, 11, and moved to the left and right directions, and the presence/absence of the metal molds P, D with respect to the metal mold attachment parts 9, 11 is detected by detecting that the metal mold holding members 21 abut on the metal molds P, D at the movement of the ATCs 15, 19 to the left and right directions.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 【課題】プレスブレーキにおける金型装着部に、取り外しを忘れた金型が有るか否かを検出する金型有無検出方法及びその方法に使用するプレスブレーキを提供する。【解決手段】金型装着部９，１１を備えた上下のテーブル５，７を対向して備えたプレスブレーキの金型の有無を検出する金型有無検出方法であって、テーブル５，７に備えた左右方向の金型装着部９，１１に対して金型Ｐ，Ｄの着脱交換を行うＡＴＣ１５，１９を左右方向に移動自在に備え、このＡＴＣ１５，１９における金型保持部材２１を、金型装着部９，１１に装着した金型Ｐ，Ｄと干渉する状態に保持して左右方向に移動し、ＡＴＣ１５，１９の左右方向への移動時に、前記金型保持部材２１が金型Ｐ，Ｄに当接したことを検出して、金型装着部９，１１に対する金型Ｐ，Ｄの有無を検出する。【選択図】図４
