PRINTING MACHINE

To suppress the height of a printing machine equipped with a printing part that discharges ink from a discharge head onto a printing medium and a drying part that dries the ink attached on the printing medium.SOLUTION: A printing part 2 has a printing path Pa including an upward inclined area Ru where a printing medium M obliquely elevates and a downward inclined area Rd where the printing medium M obliquely lowers at the downstream from the upward inclined area Ru in a transport direction Dm. Thereby height differences among the respective discharge heads 27 are suppressed and also the height of the printing part 2 can be suppressed. The drying part 4 turns back upward the printing medium M by air turn bars 42, 43, thereby transports the printing medium M along a rising drying path Pb1 and dries the ink attached on the printing medium M by a front stage heater H4. In this way, the rising drying path Pb1 is provided by efficiently utilizing the height of the drying part 4, thereby enabling suppressing the height of the drying part 4 and also securing the drying path.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 【課題】吐出ヘッドから印刷媒体にインクを吐出する印刷部と、印刷媒体に付着したインクを乾燥させる乾燥部とを備えた印刷装置の高さを抑制可能とする。【解決手段】印刷部２では、印刷経路Ｐａは、印刷媒体Ｍが斜めに上昇する上昇傾斜領域Ｒｕと、上昇傾斜領域Ｒｕより搬送方向Ｄｍの下流で印刷媒体Ｍが斜めに下降する下降傾斜領域Ｒｄとを含む。これによって、各吐出ヘッド２７間の高さの差を抑えて、印刷部２の高さも抑えることができる。乾燥部４では、印刷媒体Ｍをエアターンバー４２、４３により上方へ折り返すことで、上昇乾燥経路Ｐｂ１に沿って印刷媒体Ｍを搬送して印刷媒体Ｍに付着したインクを前段ヒータＨ４により乾燥する。こうして、乾燥部４の高さを有効に活用して上昇乾燥経路Ｐｂ１を設けているため、乾燥部４の高さを抑えつつ、乾燥経路を確保できる。【選択図】図２
