GAS GENERATING COMPONENT

To provide a gas generating component comprising a porcelain that generates oxygen at high temperature (around 1000°C) and generates hydrogen in the presence of water.SOLUTION: There is provided a porcelain represented by the following formula: LaAB(CoFe)Owhere A is at least one of Mg, Ca, Ba, Ni, Cu and Zn, B is Sr, 0.1≤x≤0.3, 0≤y≤0.4, 0.1≤v≤0.5, and 0.5≤w≤0.9. Moreover, 0.1≤x≤0.2, 0≤y≤0.2, 0.3≤v≤0.4, and 0.6≤w≤0.8, and the porosity is 30% to 50%.
