Zusammenfassung:To provide a method in which a metal wire obtained by coating a magnesium-containing composite or a magnesium simple substance with a coating material made of iron or steel is fed to molten metal and the yield in the molten metal of the magnesium continuously added is improved.SOLUTION: There is provided a coated magnesium wire feeding method in which, when a metal wire W obtained by coating a core material W1 made of a magnesium-containing composite or a magnesium simple substance with a coating material W2 made of steel is fed to a molten metal 6, e.g., control of changing the melting position in the molten metal 6 of the coating material W2 is performed.
