Zusammenfassung:To allow for appropriate setting of battery use range in consideration of thickness change incident to deterioration, in a control arrangement of a battery pack for controlling the battery pack in a battery use range determined by a lower limit SOC and an upper limit SOC.SOLUTION: An ECU acquires the negative electrode potential of a battery pack, and the temperature of the battery pack (S11). The ECU estimates the cell thickness Th by using the negative electrode potential of the battery pack, and the temperature of the battery pack (S12). The ECU sets the lower limit SOC when the cell thickness Th is larger than a threshold level Lim, to a value lower than the lower limit SOC when the cell thickness Th is smaller than a threshold level Lim (S13, S14).
