Zusammenfassung: | To provide a water heater device that can support short circuit of a twin core communication wire without using a poly-switch by a simple configuration.SOLUTION: A water heater device includes: a water heater; a remote controller 200 connected to the water heater via a twin core communication wire 300 capable of being fed from the water heater and communicating with the water heater; and a microcomputer 121 disposed on a control board on a side of the water heater. The microcomputer 121 detects short circuit of the twin core communication wire 300 based on that a voltage value of a voltage Vd of the twin core communication wire 300 is equal to or lower than a threshold voltage that is lower than a normal voltage value.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
