To provide an escalator capable of detecting a floor of passengers' getting on/off.SOLUTION: An escalator according to an embodiment is installed over three floors or more, comprising: a camera capturing an image around an entrance of the escalator at each floor; an identification unit identifying passengers by the image captured by the camera; and a control unit determining the floor of passengers' getting on/off.
