Zusammenfassung:To increase the opportunity to restart an engine automatically by performing fuel injection and ignition for a cylinder being under an expansion stroke.SOLUTION: For a cylinder being under an expansion stroke, fuel injection is performed and also ignition is performed at predetermined ignition timing, thereby automatically restarting an engine. According to difference of a stop position of a piston 3 being under the expansion stroke in automatic stop, the predetermined ignition timing is changed. For example, when a piston stop position is near a top dead point in the expansion stroke, the ignition timing is set to advanced SP1, when the piston stop position is near a bottom dead point in the expansion stroke, the ignition timing is set to retarded SP2, and when the piston stop position is at an intermediate position, the ignition timing is set to both of SP1 and SP2.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 【課題】膨張行程にある気筒に対して燃料噴射と点火とを行うことによるエンジンの自動再始動が行える機会を増大させる。【解決手段】膨張行程にある気筒に対して燃料噴射を行うと共に所定の点火時期で点火を行うことにより、エンジンの自動再始動が行われる。自動停止時に膨張行程にあるピストン3の停止位置の相違に応じて、所定の点火時期が変更される。例えば、ピストン停止位置が膨張行程上死点に近い場合は点火時期が進角されたSP1とされ、ピストン停止位置が膨張行程下死点に近い場合は点火時期が遅角されたSP2とされ、ピストン停止位置が中間位置の場合は点火時期がSP1とSP2との両方とされる。【選択図】 図3
