Zusammenfassung:To provide a structural member for an automobile that achieves weight reduction and improvement of collision safety of the automobile.SOLUTION: The structural member for an automobile includes a steel sheet having a flat portion and a bending angle portion. In the bending angle portion, the ratio (R[mm]/t[mm]) of the radius of curvature (R[mm]/t[mm]) with respect to the thickness (t[mm]) of the steel sheet is 3.0 or less. The Vickers hardness (H[HV]) at the center of the arc of the bending angle portion is larger than the Vickers hardness (H[HV]) in the flat portion.
