Zusammenfassung:	To improve safety in working by reducing a burden applied to upper limbs appropriately and securing physical flexibility in case of falling over or the like.SOLUTION: An upper limb keeping device 1 comprises a body section 10 with an electric source, an arm part 11 extending from the body section 10, a brake mechanism part 5 regulating motion of the arm part 11, and a switch operation part 3. The switch operation part 3 is provided above a connecting part 12 of the arm part 11 and behind the connecting part 12. Operation switching a free state of permitting revolving operation of the arm part 11 and a rock state of fixing the arm part 11 in an optional height can be performed at a back of a head or a posterior cervix of a worker.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】上肢にかかる負担を適切に軽減することに加え、万一の転倒時などには身体の自由度を確保し得るものとし、作業中の安全性を向上させる。【解決手段】上肢保持装置１は、電源を備えた本体部１０と、本体部１０から延出するアーム部１１と、アーム部１１の動きを規制する制動機構部５と、スイッチ操作部３とを備える。スイッチ操作部３は、アーム部１１の接続部１２より上方位置であって、接続部１２の後方に設けられており、アーム部１１の回動動作を許容するフリー状態と、アーム部１１を任意の高さで固定するロック状態とを切換える操作を作業者の後頭部または後頸部にて行うことができる。【選択図】図１
