The CPU 120 inverts polarity of a voltage applied to the display unit 151 at an inversion timing of a constant polarity inversion period with time equal to or less than a reference inversion time. The CPU 120 also outputs image data to the display drive circuit at an image update timing that is the image update timing in synchronization with the polarity inversion period and whose period is the same as a reference period of one integer of the polarity inversion period and behind in the timing of the reference period by a reference adjustment time that is less than time of the reference period and equal to or greater than the reference inversion time.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
【課題】表示される画像データをスムーズに更新する。【解決手段】電子時計100は、表示部151と、表示部151を駆動する表示駆動回路142と、表示駆動回路142を制御するCPU120と、を備える。CPU120は、表示部151に印加する電圧の極性を一定の極性反転周期の反転タイミングで基準反転時間以下の時間で極性反転させる。また、CPU120は、極性反転周期と同期しかつ極性反転周期の整数分の1倍の基準周期と同じ周期の画像更新タイミングであって、基準周期の時間未満かつ基準反転時間以上の基準調整時間だけ基準周期のタイミングより後の画像更新タイミングで、画像データを表示駆動回路に出力する。【選択図】図1 |
