Zusammenfassung:To provide an air filter which can exhibit high-collection efficiency over a long period of time by using the low self-supportability and frictional electrification of fine fibers.SOLUTION: In an air filter constituted of a prefilter, a base material layer, and a layer which is formed by making a thick fiber layer composed of thick fibers, and a fine fiber layer composed of fine fibers adjoin each other, or a mixture layer of the thick fibers and the fine fibers, a material for forming the thick fibers has a property which is easy to be positively or negatively electrified by contacting with or being rubbed with a material for forming fine fibers, the fine fibers are easy to be charged with electrical charges having marks different from those of the thick fibers, and the fine fibers slightly vibrate by a flow of air at an operation of an air cleaner by having an average fiber diameter not smaller than 50 nm and smaller than 1,000 nm, and continue to maintain electrification performance for a long period of time by the contact and friction with the thick fibers.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5 【課題】細繊維の低自己支持性および摩擦帯電を利用して、長期間に亘り高い捕集効率を発揮可能なエアフィルタを提供する。【解決手段】プレフィルタと、基材層と、太繊維からなる太繊維層と細繊維からなる細繊維層を隣接した層、もしくは前記太繊維と細繊維の混合層とで構成されたエアフィルタであり、前記プレフィルタの下流側において、前記太繊維を形成する材料は、前記細繊維を形成する材料と接触あるいは摩擦することで、正または負に帯電しやすい性質をもち、前記細繊維は前記太繊維と異符号の電荷を帯びやすく、前記細繊維は50nm以上1000nm未満の平均繊維径で構成されることにより、空気清浄装置稼働時の空気の流れにより細繊維が微振動し、太繊維との接触摩擦で帯電性能を長期に亘り維持し続けることを特徴とする。【選択図】図5
