BASE STATION APPARATUS AND RADIO COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

To provide a base station apparatus which can decrease the number of radio units used as required, and reduce electric power consumption.SOLUTION: A base station apparatus comprises: a plurality of radio units (21-25) which use frequencies different from each other; power source parts (12) provided for the radio units respectively; and a control part (20) which controls switching between a first mode (normal mode) for at least operating two or more first radio units (22, 23) operable to transmit audio data according to FDMA system, and a second mode (power restriction mode) for at least operating one second radio unit (24) operable to transmit audio data according to SCPC system.
