Zusammenfassung: | To provide a vehicle control system which can generate required electric power while reducing influence of operation sound of a power generation unit on a surrounding area.SOLUTION: A vehicle control system includes: a power generation unit including an internal combustion engine which outputs power and a power generator which generates electric power by using the power output by the internal combustion engine; a rechargeable battery which stores the electric power generated by the power generation unit; a driving electric motor which is driven by using the electric power supplied from the power generation unit and the rechargeable battery; a planning section which makes an operation plan of the power generation unit including whether or not the power generation unit is operated when a vehicle passes through a tunnel on the basis of influences imposed on a peripheral environment of the tunnel in a case where the power generation unit is operated when the vehicle passes through the tunnel; a power generation control section which causes the power generation unit to generate electric power on the basis of the operation plan made by the planning section; and a driving control part which controls the driving electric motor to drive the vehicle.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
