IMAGE FORMING DEVICE

To provide an image forming device which decelerates the opening speed of a cover member by a simple configuration while reducing a processing space in accordance with purposes when the cover member is open.SOLUTION: The image forming device comprises: a cover member openable/closable to an image forming device body by rotating; a wire supported at one end to the image forming device body and supported at other end to the cover member; a support member for supporting the other end of the wire, the support member moving in a direction K1 in linkage with operation by which the cover member is opened; a tension spring for adding an urging force in a direction K2 opposite the direction K1 to the support member; a first restricting member for coming in contact with the support member and restricting the movement of the support member in the direction K1, the first restricting member capable of moving to a restriction position for restricting the movement of the support member and a retreat position for retreating from the restriction position and allowing the movement of the support member; and a second restricting member for restricting the movement of the support member in the direction K1 at a second position downstream from a first position in the direction K1.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5 【課題】カバー部材を開状態にした際の処理スペースを目的に応じて削減しつつ、簡易な構成でカバー部材の開き速度を減速させる画像形成装置を提供する。【解決手段】回動することで画像形成装置本体に対して開閉可なカバー部材と、一方の端部が画像形成装置本体に支持され、他方の端部がカバー部材に支持されたワイヤと、ワイヤの他方の端部を支持する支持部材であって、カバー部材が開かれる動作と連動してＫ１方向に移動する支持部材と、支持部材に対して、Ｋ１方向と反対のＫ２方向の付勢力を付与する引張バネと、支持部材と当接して支持部材のＫ１方向への移動を第１の位置で規制する第一規制部材であって、支持部材の移動を規制する規制位置と、規制位置から退避して支持部材の移動を許容する退避位置とに移動可能な第一規制部材と、第１の位置よりもＫ１方向の下流側の第２の位置において支持部材のＫ１方向の移動を規制する第二規制部材と、を有する。【選択図】図５
