To provide a thermally expandable resin composition that contains a resin component and expandable graphite, in which a new component of producing an effect of enhancing a cohesive force of an expansion body containing expandable graphite in such a situation that most of a form changes by heating and combustion is recognized, and the expansion body is excellent in shape retention and mechanical strength regardless of the type of the resin component.SOLUTION: There are provided a thermally expandable resin composition which contains 40-100 pts.mass of expandable graphite and 2-50 pts.mass of a spiro ring diphosphonate compound based on 100 pts.mass of a resin component; and a thermally expandable resin-made material.SELECTED DRAWING: None 【課題】樹脂成分と膨張性黒鉛とを含む熱膨張性樹脂組成物において、加熱されて形態の殆どが燃焼で変化した状況における膨張性黒鉛を含む膨張体の粘結力を高める効果を生み出す新たな成分を見出し、樹脂成分の種類によらず、膨張体が形状保持性及び機械的強度に優れるものになる熱膨張性樹脂組成物の提供。【解決手段】樹脂成分１００質量部に対して、膨張性黒鉛を４０〜１００質量部及びスピロ環ジホスフォネート化合物を２〜５０質量部含有してなることを特徴とする熱膨張性樹脂組成物、及び、熱膨張性樹脂製材料。【選択図】なし
