To provide a container with a cover in which any of a sheet forming container or a cover is made to transform according to kinds of contents, and an internal volume is made to reduce easily and securely, and after that, which can be supplied to high pressure sterilization.SOLUTION: A container with a cover 10 comprises a container 20 which includes a drum portion 21 and a flange portion 22, and a cover 30 which is arranged on an upper face of the flange portion 22 so as to cover a storage portion 25 of the container 20. Because the container 20 is made of an unstretched film base material and the cover 30 is made of a stretched film base material, rigidity of the container 20 is smaller than that of the cover 30. As a result, contents 50 is made the shape deform or an internal volume of the container with the cover 10 can be reduced more effectively as accompanying by transformation of the container 20.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4A 【課題】内容物の種類に応じてシート成形容器又は蓋のいずれかを変形させて、容易かつ確実に内容積を減少させ、その後高圧殺菌に供することができる蓋付容器を提供する。【解決手段】蓋付容器１０は、胴部２１及びフランジ部２２を含む容器２０と、容器２０の収容部２５を覆うようフランジ部２２の上面に配置された蓋３０とを備える。容器２０は未延伸フィルム基材からなり、蓋３０は延伸フィルム基材からなるため、蓋３０に比べて容器２０の剛性は小さくなっている。この結果、容器２０の変形に伴って内容物５０もその形状を変化させるか蓋付容器１０の内容積をより効果的に小さくすることができる。【選択図】図４Ａ
