HIGH-PRESSURE FUEL SUPPLY PUMP

To provide a high-pressure fuel supply pump which suppresses violent displacement of a valve in a direction crossing a stroke axis when a valve is opened and closed.SOLUTION: A high-pressure fuel supply pump comprises a pump housing formed with a pressurizing chamber for pressurizing fuel, and a discharge valve unit provided on the discharge side of the pressurizing chamber. The discharge valve unit has a spherical discharge valve member, a seat member having a seat surface which annularly contacts with the discharge valve member, and a valve housing accommodating the discharge valve member and the seat member. The valve housing has a regulation part which slidably holds the maximum diameter position of the discharge valve member and holds the seat member on the inner diameter side such that the central axis of the seat surface of the seat member overlaps with the stroke axis of the discharge valve member.
