Zusammenfassung:To provide a staircase capable of stably receiving treads and risers, and an assembly method of the staircase.SOLUTION: A staircase 1 according to the present embodiment comprises: a side plate 3 that has an inserted part 31 in one surface and in which other surface brings into contact with a wall surface 21 and a part of an end surface brings into contact with a floor surface 22 and mounts to the wall surface 21; a lowermost tread 41 that is inserted into the inserted part 31 and in which a groove 411 extending in the direction crossing the side plate 3 is provided at an undersurface; and a riser 43 that is inserted into the inserted part 31 and the groove 411.
