To provide means that continues transferring developer images to labels without interrupting print processing even in an image forming apparatus employing a secondary transfer system.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus comprises: a roll sheet in which a plurality of labels are attached to a belt-like mount at a predetermined gap in a peelable manner; an image forming unit that forms developer images on the basis of print data; an intermediate transfer body to which the developer images formed by the image forming unit are transferred; a transfer unit that transfers the developer images transferred to the intermediate transfer body to the labels; a defect detection sensor that detects defects of the labels.
