Zusammenfassung:	To provide a method and device for searching an optimal route with weather routing, in consideration of predication accuracy of sea weather predication data deteriorating with time.SOLUTION: An optimal route search method comprises causing a processor 12 of an optimal route search device 1 to, based on individual ship performance data M1 specific to a ship and sea weather predication data M2 indicating sea weather situation, search an optimal route of optimizing a predetermined evaluation index with weather routing, wherein the sea weather predication data is weighted so that weight is made gradually smaller with time over a forecasting period.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】時間の経過に伴って低下する海気象予測データの予測精度を考慮して、ウェザールーティングによって最適航路を探索する方法及び装置を提供する。【解決手段】最適航路探索装置１の処理装置１２において、船舶に固有の個船性能データＭ１と海気象状況を示す海気象予測データＭ２とに基づいて、ウェザールーティングで所定の評価指標を最適とする最適航路を探索する最適航路探索方法であって、海気象予測データを、予報期間にわたって時間の経過に従って重みが小さくなるように重み付けする。【選択図】図１
