The coolant jet passage 27 is offset to a side of an exhaust end 6a and is configured to jet an engine coolant 2 into a head water jacket 20. The bottom wall 6c of the cylinder head 6 includes: a combustion chamber ceiling wall 34 into which a fuel injector 15 is inserted; and a pressing wall 35 which is located at the outer periphery side of the combustion chamber ceiling wall 34 and presses a bead 33a of a head gasket 33. An outer periphery part 34a of the combustion chamber ceiling wall 34, located adjacent to the pressing wall 35, of the bottom wall 6c of the cylinder head 6 is formed thinner than the pressing wall 35.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
