To provide a rotary compressor for suppressing the transfer of heat via a middle plate between a front cylinder and a rear cylinder.SOLUTION: A middle plate (50) has first and second split plates (60, 65) split in the thickness direction. In the split face of the second split plate (65), a recessed part (68) is formed which is partially recessed. The recessed part (68) is formed along a center hole (51) of the middle plate (50) all over the periphery. Overlapping the split faces of the first and second split plates (60, 65) produces a heat insulation space formed by the recessed part (68) inside the middle plate (50).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5 【課題】フロントシリンダとリアシリンダとの間で、ミドルプレートを介して熱が伝達されるのを抑える。【解決手段】ミドルプレート（50）は、厚み方向に分割された第１及び第２の分割プレート（60,65）を有する。第２の分割プレート（65）の分割面には、その一部が窪んだ凹部（68）が形成されている。凹部（68）は、ミドルプレート（50）の中央孔（51）に沿って、全周にわたって形成されている。第１及び第２の分割プレート（60,65）の分割面同士を重ね合わせることで、ミドルプレート（50）の内部には、凹部（68）によって形成された断熱空間が設けられる。【選択図】図５
