LIQUID ABSORBING BODY, AND LIQUID REMOVAL METHOD, IMAGE FORMATION METHOD AND IMAGE FORMATION APPARATUS USING LIQUID ABSORBING BODY

To provide a liquid absorbing body which satisfactorily removes a liquid component to be removed while reducing removal of a solid component, a dissolution component or a composition obtained from them in an ink image to be left in a recording medium and a transfer body, and a liquid removal method, an image formation method and an image formation apparatus using the liquid absorbing body.SOLUTION: There are provided a liquid absorbing body which is brought into contact with an ink image applied to a recording medium or a transfer body to remove at least a part of a liquid component contained in the ink image, where at least a part of a surface in contact with the ink of the liquid absorbing body is a hydrophilic-oil repellent material, and an image formation apparatus containing the liquid absorbing body.
