To appropriately inspect the connection state of a crimp-style terminal and an insulated electric wire even when the shapes of imaged core wire barrels are different.SOLUTION: An inspection device of the present invention comprises: an imaging unit (22) for imaging the end of an insulated electric wire (10) illuminated by an illumination unit (24); a luminance acquisition unit for acquiring a luminance amount per column in a second direction for a plurality of columns in the imaged data of the end of the insulated electric wire; a boundary detection unit for detecting a boundary position between a crimped part and a bell mouse part in the core-wire barrel on the basis of the acquired luminance amount per column; and an inspection unit for inspecting the connection state of the insulated electric wire and a crimp-style terminal in an inspection area the area end in a first direction of which is defined by the boundary position between the crimped part and the bell mouse part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 【課題】撮像された芯線バレルの形状が異なる場合であっても、適切に圧着端子と絶縁電線との接続状態を検査する。【解決手段】検査装置は、照明部（２４）に照らされた絶縁電線（１０）の端部を撮像する撮像部（２２）と、撮像された絶縁電線の端部の撮像データにおいて、第２の方向に沿う列ごとの輝度量を複数列において取得する輝度取得部と、取得された列ごとの輝度量に基づいて、芯線バレルにおける、圧着部とベルマウス部との境界位置を検出する境界検出部と、圧着部とベルマウス部との境界位置を第１の方向における領域端とする検査領域において、絶縁電線と圧着端子との接続状態を検査する検査部とを備える。【選択図】図２
