Zusammenfassung:	To provide an imitation sword for training which can be used as an imitation sword for Iaido training, has a plating layer hardly exfoliated, is superior in abrasion resistance to be hardly scratched, and is hardly discolored by deposition of trainee's sweat to be aesthetically excellent.SOLUTION: In an imitation sword 1 for training, intermediate plating layers 20 and 30 forming a blade 10 of the imitation sword 1 for training are provided with a blade crest pattern 50 forming a rough surface, within a range of their thickness, and the whole of the blade crest pattern 50 and a part 60 other than the blade crest pattern are covered with a finish plating layer 40 made of a chromium plating layer.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 【課題】居合道の稽古用模擬刀として使用することができ、めっき層が剥離しにくく、耐擦傷性に優れ傷つきにくいと共に、稽古者の汗等が付着しても変色しにくく美観に優れた、刃紋が表れた稽古用模擬刀を提供する。【解決手段】稽古用模擬刀１の刀身１０をなす中間めっき層２０，３０に、その膜厚の範囲で、粗面をなす刃紋模様５０を備えさせると共に、クロムめっき層からなる仕上げめっき層４０で、刃紋模様の部分５０と刃紋模様以外の部分６０の全体を覆う稽古用模擬刀１。【選択図】図２
