Zusammenfassung:To provide a technique capable of more properly presenting a virtual image.SOLUTION: A virtual image display device 10 includes a projection part 12 which projects image display light, an intermediate image forming part 14 on which a real image based on the image display light is formed, and a projection mirror 16 which reflects the image display light emitted from the intermediate image forming part 14 toward a virtual image presentation surface. The intermediate image forming part 14 includes a main surface 21 having a first area W1, a second area W2, and a third area W3 arranged in order in a predetermined direction and a reflection part 28. A transmission type screen 31 on which first display light which is a part of the image display light is imaged is provided in the first area W1. A reflection type screen 33 on which second display light which is another part of the image display light is imaged is provided in the third area W3. The first display light is transmitted through the transmission type screen 31 and reflected by the reflection part 28, passes through the second area W2, and is emitted toward the projection mirror 16.
