IMAGE FORMATION DEVICE AND FIXATION DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image formation device which can correctly determine the service life of a heating element as a consumable supply in a fixation device regardless of the sheet passage mode, and provide the fixation device.SOLUTION: An image formation device includes: an endless belt which heats an image formed on a recording material at a nip part; a drive rotation body which forms the nip part between the endless belt and itself and rotationally drives the endless belt; a heater which presses the endless belt toward the drive rotation body from the inner surface thereof and heats the endless belt; a first sensor which detects the temperature of the endless belt; a control unit which controls the electric conduction to the heater in accordance with output of the first sensor; an integration unit which integrates the electric conduction time to the heater for each prescribed time; a determination unit which determines the service life of the heater in accordance with the integrated value by the integration unit; a second sensor which detects the temperature of the heater; and a correction unit which corrects the time that should be integrated in accordance with the temperature change amount per prescribed time detected by the second sensor.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 9 【課題】通紙モードによらず、定着装置における消耗品としての発熱体の寿命を正確に判定できる画像形成装置および定着装置を提供する。【解決手段】記録材に形成された画像をニップ部にて加熱するエンドレスベルトと、エンドレスベルトとの間でニップ部を形成するとともにエンドレスベルトを回転駆動する駆動回転体と、エンドレスベルトをその内面から駆動回転体に向けて押圧するとともにエンドレスベルトを加熱するヒータと、エンドレスベルトの温度を検出する第１のセンサと、第１のセンサの出力に応じてヒータへの通電を制御する制御部と、ヒータへの通電時間を所定時間毎に積算する積算部と、積算部による積算値に応じてヒータの寿命を判定する判定部と、ヒータの温度を検出する第２のセンサと、第２のセンサにより検出された所定時間当たりの温度変化量に応じて積算すべき時間を補正する補正部と、を有する。【選択図】図９
