Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control method for an engine and a control device for the engine, which can highly accurately detect that deposits are bitten between an intake/exhaust valve and a valve seat during the travel of a vehicle.SOLUTION: A PCM for controlling the engine calculates a crank angle speed ratio on the basis of crank angle speed information from a crank angle sensor, and when the crank angle speed ratio is not higher than a predetermined threshold value, determines that deposits are bitten between at least one of the intake valve and the exhaust valve, and the valve seat. The predetermined threshold value to be used when determining whether the deposits are bitten ot not is set on the basis of intake pressure information from an intake pressure sensor. 【課題】車両の走行中において、吸排気バルブとバルブシートとの間へのデポジットの噛み込みを高精度に検出することができるエンジンの制御方法及びエンジンの制御装置を提供する。【解決手段】エンジンを制御するPCMは、クランク角センサからのクランク角速度情報に基づきクランク角速度比を算出し、当該クランク角速度比が所定の閾値以下である場合に、吸気バルブ及び排気バルブの少なくとも一方と、バルブシートとの間へのデポジットの噛み込みが有りと判定する。デポジットの噛み込みの有無を判定する際に用いられる所定の閾値は、吸気圧センサからの吸気圧情報に基づき、設定される。即ち、吸気圧が高い場合の閾値RAth1は、吸気圧が低い場合の閾値に比べて高く設定される。【選択図】図7 |
