PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet recording device and ink jet recording method which can form an excellent image by adjusting the application amount of the reaction liquid for each of a plurality of transfer bodies arranged on the peripheral surface of a cylindrical support member.SOLUTION: An ink jet recording device includes: a reaction liquid application device which applies the reaction liquid with an application roller to a plurality of transfer bodies arranged on the peripheral surface of a cylindrical support member rotating around a rotational shaft; an ink application device which forms an intermediate image by applying the ink to the transfer bodies applied with the reaction liquid; and a control unit which controls the peripheral speed ratio of the transfer bodies to the application roller for each of the plurality of transfer bodies.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】円筒状支持部材の周面に配置した複数の転写体毎に反応液の付与量を調整して、良好な画像形成を可能とするインクジェット記録装置及びインクジェット記録方法を提供すること。【解決手段】回転軸を中心に回転する円筒状支持部材の周面に配置した複数の転写体に反応液を付与ローラにより付与する反応液付与装置と、反応液が塗工された転写体にインクを付与して中間画像を形成するインク付与装置を有するインクジェット記録装置に、転写体と付与ローラの周速度比率を、複数の転写体毎に制御する制御部を設ける。【選択図】図１
