PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle control device that is able to appropriately notify an occupant of current monitoring information about vehicle operation, in a vehicle capable of automatic operation.SOLUTION: A vehicle control device (1) according to an embodiment is applied in a movable body capable of a manual operation requiring a driving operation performed by a human and an automatic operation that does not require a driving operation performed by a human. The vehicle control device has: a vehicle control ECU (10) capable of all control relating to acceleration, steering, and braking for the movable body; notifying sections (24, 26) that notify information corresponding to an automatic driving level; a notification control section (20) that controls the notifying sections; and a vehicle monitoring roll setting section (12) that sets the movable body side as a drive monitoring roll.
