Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sinter friction material for brake having suppressed reduction of friction coefficient even at high temperature and stable brake performance while having high friction coefficient.SOLUTION: There is provided a sinter friction material containing Ni or Ni+Fe (small amount) as a metal matrix, and a solid lubricant (a) and a friction adjustment material (b), containing metal or alloy particle (b1) having average particle diameter of 50 μm or more and consisting of one or more kind selected from W, Mo, Cr, Fe, W and inorganic particles (b2) consisting of one or more kind selected from oxide, nitride, carbide and intermetallic compound as the friction adjustment material (b) and having average particle diameter of the metal or the alloy particle (b1) dand average particle diameter of the inorganic particles (b2), dsatisfying d
