PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a measuring apparatus and a measuring method capable of notifying a user when setting of measurement conditions is inappropriate.SOLUTION: A measuring apparatus 10 includes a capability information acquisition unit 13 that acquires capability information indicating the capability of a DUT 1 set for each predetermined item, a setting unit 16 that sets measurement conditions of the DUT 1, a measuring unit 12 that measures the DUT 1 on the basis of the measurement conditions, a capability determination unit 17 that performs notification of capability exceeding information indicating that the measurement condition exceeds the capability on condition that the measurement condition concerning a certain item from among the measurement conditions exceeds the capability predetermined for the item, and a display unit 19 that displays the capability exceeding information.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】測定条件の設定が不適切な場合にはその旨をユーザに通知することができる測定装置及び測定方法を提供する。【解決手段】測定装置１０は、予め定められた項目ごとに設定されたＤＵＴ１の能力を示す能力情報を取得する能力情報取得部１３と、ＤＵＴ１の測定条件を設定する設定部１６と、測定条件に基づいてＤＵＴ１の測定を行う測定部１２と、測定条件のうちある項目に関する測定条件が該項目に予め定められた能力を超えて設定されたことを条件として該能力を超えている旨を示す能力超え情報を通知する能力判断部１７と、能力超え情報を表示する表示部１９と、を備える。【選択図】図１
