Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carbon fiber bundle that can control a defect which serves as a fracture starting point within a certain range and can exhibit high tensile strength by increasing the length of a scatterer and provide a method for producing the same.SOLUTION: The carbon fiber bundle has a presence probability of 35% or less with respect to the presence of the defect having a size of 50 nm or more on a recovered fracture surface when a single-fiber tensile test is performed with a sample length of 10 mm, and has a scatterer length of 46 nm or more obtained by small angle scattering with a microbeam.SELECTED DRAWING: None 【課題】破断起点となる欠陥を一定の範囲に制御し、散乱体長さを長くすることで、高引張強度を発現する炭素繊維束、ならびにその製造方法を提供すること。【解決手段】試長を10mmとして単繊維引張試験を実施した際に、回収した破断面に大きさ50nm以上の欠陥が存在する確率が35%以下であって、マイクロビームの小角散乱で得られる散乱体長さが46nm以上であることを特徴とする炭素繊維束である。【選択図】なし
