Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processing device and a fault information transmission necessity determination method, capable of reducing a load of a server when immediately disconnecting an electric power supply.SOLUTION: An information processing device includes: an inter-node communication control unit 11 that detects the generation of a fault in an inter-node communication with an external node; an optical communication unit 10 that returns a signal received by a first channel when immediately disconnecting an electric power supply of a housing for housing a node to a second channel; an optical communication control unit 12 that controls the optical communication unit 10 so as to emit the light of the first channel when receiving a fault generation notification by the inter-node communication control unit 11, determines whether an optical signal can be received in the second channel, and determines whether a power supply of an external node is fallen down on the basis of the determination; and a fault information control unit 15 that selects the fault notification to a fault management device if the power supply of the external node is fallen down.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】情報処理装置及び障害情報送信要否判定方法に関し、電源即断の際にもサーバの負荷を軽減させる。【解決手段】外部ノードとのノード間通信に障害が発生したことを検出するノード間通信制御部11と、ノードを収容する筐体の電源即断時に第1チャンネルで受信した信号を第2チャンネルへ返送する光通信部10と、ノード間通信制御部11による障害発生通知を受信すると、第1チャンネルを発光させる制御を光通信部10へ行い、第2チャンネルにおいて光信号が受光できるか判断し、判断に基づいて外部ノードの電源が落ちているか否かを判定する光通信制御部12と、外部ノードの電源が落ちていた場合には、障害管理装置への障害通知を選定する障害情報制御部15とを有する。【選択図】図1
