Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent trouble during operation from occurring before it happens by making it possible to learn reading stability at a plurality of places within an imaging range.SOLUTION: An optical information reader calculates a score indicating easiness of decoding processing. It determines a region with a prescribed size including a code about which the score is calculated. When a plurality of different regions are sequentially determined by changing code positions during execution of a reading test mode, it associates a calculated score with a region corresponding to the score to store them, and simultaneously display the magnitude of the score corresponding to each stored region in a corresponding region on an image taken with the imaging unit or a map indicating an imaging visual field in a simulated manner.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 18 【課題】撮像範囲内の複数箇所の読み取り安定度を把握可能にして運用時のトラブルを未然に防止する。【解決手段】デコード処理のし易さを示すスコアを算出する。スコアを算出するコードが含まれる所定の大きさの領域を決定する。読取テストモードの実行時に、コード位置を変更して複数の異なる領域が順次決定された際に、算出されたスコアとそのスコアに対応する領域とを関連付けて記憶しておき、記憶された各領域に対応するスコアの大きさを、撮像部が撮像した画像または撮像視野を模擬的に示したマップ上の対応する領域に、同時に表示させる。【選択図】図18
