GREASE APPLYING METHOD AND GREASE APPLYING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a grease applying method which uniformly applies a grease on an inner peripheral surface of a housing regardless of the existence of a shaft portion.SOLUTION: In a reciprocating step, tip end portions 6a of applying jigs 6L and 6R are reciprocated along moving paths KR and KL detouring a lower shaft 103 from a reciprocation start position PS to a reciprocation finish position PF opposite to a first area A1 on the opposite side to an opening groove 101 on an inner peripheral surface 100a of a lower jacket 100 through the opening groove 101 of the lower jacket 100. In a first applying step, a grease is discharged and applied to the first area A1 from a grease discharging portion of a tip end portions 6a. In a second applying step in which the tip end portions 6a are reciprocated, the grease in the first area A1 is leveled and applied to a second area A2 adjacent to the opening groove 101 side with regard to the first area A1 by a grease leveling portion 67.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 【課題】軸部の存在に拘らずハウジングの内周面に均一にグリースを塗布するグリース塗布方法を提供する。【解決手段】往動工程では、塗布治具６Ｌ，６Ｒの先端部６ａを、往動開始位置ＰＳから、ロアジャケット１００の開放溝１０１を通して、ロアジャケット１００の内周面１００ａにおいて開放溝１０１の反対側の第１領域Ａ１に対向する往動終了位置ＰＦまで、ロアシャフト１０３を迂回する移動経路ＫＲ，ＫＬに沿って往動させる。第１塗布工程で、先端部６ａのグリース吐出部から第１領域Ａ１にグリースを吐出して塗布する。先端部６ａが復動される第２塗布工程で、第１領域Ａ１のグリースをグリース均し部６７によって第１領域Ａ１に対して開放溝１０１側に隣接する第２領域Ａ２に引き均して塗布する。【選択図】図２
