PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a web connection device capable of eliminating necessity for installation of an accumulation device and connecting an old web with a new web without temporary stopping.SOLUTION: A web connecting device 10, connecting an old web W1 with a new web W2, includes: a connection unit 3 for connecting a rear end of the old web W1 with a front end of the new web W2 by overlapping and sandwiching them between an upper tape 34 and a lower tape 52; a motor 322 moving the connection unit along a conveyance path together with the old web and the new web during conveyance; and a controller 200 for moving the connection unit 3 at a conveyance speed along the conveyance path until the old web W1 and the new web W2 are connected.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】アキューム装置を設けることなく、旧ウエブを一時停止させず新ウエブと接続できるウエブの接続装置を提供する。【解決手段】旧ウエブＷ１と新ウエブＷ２とを接続するウエブの接続装置１０において、旧ウエブＷ１の後端と新ウエブＷ２の前端とを重ねて上テープ３４と下テープ５２で挟んで接続する接続ユニット３と、搬送中の旧ウエブと新ウエブを伴って前記接続ユニットを、搬送路に沿って移動させるモータ３２２と、旧ウエブＷ１と新ウエブＷ２を接続するまで接続ユニット３を搬送路に沿って搬送速度で移動させる制御装置２００とを有する。【選択図】 図１
