Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for treating silica-containing water which enables efficient silica removal treatment in a small space with low environmental load and low cost.SOLUTION: A method of treating silica-containing water includes a raw water supplying step of supplying raw water containing silica to a packed tower 10, and a silica removing step of removing silica contained in the raw water by silica removal particles 60 by passing the raw water through the packed tower 10 filled with the silica removed particles 60, and an extraction step of taking out the treated water from which the silica has been removed from the packed tower 10. In the raw water supply step, the pH of the raw water is adjusted so that the pH of the treated water becomes 6 or more. The silica removed particles 60 are limonite particles containing 30 mass% or more of FeOOH and 10 mass% or more of SiO.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】環境への負荷が小さく且つコストが低く、少ないスペースにおいて効率的なシリカ除去処理を可能とするシリカ含有水の処理方法を提供する。【解決手段】シリカ含有水の処理方法は、シリカを含有する原水を充填塔10に供給する原水供給ステップと、原水を、シリカ除去粒子60を充填した充填塔10に通水することにより、原水に含まれるシリカをシリカ除去粒子60により除去するシリカ除去ステップと、シリカが除去された処理水を充填塔10から取り出す取出ステップと、を備える。原水供給ステップでは、処理水のpHが6以上となるように原水のpHを調整する。シリカ除去粒子60は、30質量%以上のFeOOHと、10質量%以上のSiO2と、を含有するリモナイト粒子である。【選択図】図1
