Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polarizer having the curved surface shape, a manufacturing method of the polarizer capable of easily manufacturing an optical member having the polarizer, a manufacturing method of the optical member and the optical member having the polarizer and the same.SOLUTION: A polarizer 12 includes: a thermoplastic resin base material 18; and a molding type resin layer 13 which is formed on one surface of the base material 18, in which protrusions 15 extending in one direction and recessed grooves 14 are repeatedly and continuously arrayed on the surface on the side opposite to the base material 18, and which has a first metal linear part 16 provided on the apex of the protrusion 15 and a second metal linear part 17 provided on the bottom surface part of the recessed groove 14. The polarizer transmits the light vibrating in the direction of the specific polarization axis and has the curved surface shape. A manufacturing method of the polarizer 12 having the curved surface shape includes: a protective layer formation step of applying resin having the solubility to water or water type material to the molding type resin layer 13 and filling the resin in the recessed groove 14 and a space between the first metal linear parts 16 to form a protective layer; and a thermal molding step of giving the curved surface shape with thermal molding after formation of the protective layer.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5 【課題】曲面形状を有する偏光子及びこれを備える光学部材を容易に製造できる偏光子の製造方法、光学部材の製造方法、曲面形状を有する偏光子及びこれを備える光学部材を提供する。【解決手段】偏光子12は、熱可塑性樹脂製の基材18と、基材18の一方の面に形成され、基材18とは反対側の面に、一方向に延在する凸部15及び凹状溝14が繰り返し連続して配列され、凸部15の頂部に設けられた第1の金属線状部16と、凹状溝14の底面部に設けられた第2の金属線状部17とを有する賦型樹脂層13とを有し、特定の偏光軸の方向に振動する光を透過させ、曲面形状を有する。曲面形状を有する偏光子12の製造方法は、賦型樹脂層13に水又は水系材料への溶性を有する樹脂を塗布して、凹状溝14内及び第1の金属線状部16間にその樹脂を充填して保護層を形成する保護層形成工程と、保護層形成後に、熱成形により曲面形状を付与する熱成形工程とを有する。【選択図】図5
