Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for further processing a glass tube semi-finished product (1).SOLUTION: The method includes: providing a glass tube semi-finished product (1), along with defect data for the glass tube semi-finished product; reading the defect data (2-5; 30-31) for the glass tube semi-finished product (1); and further processing the glass tube semi-finished product (1), for example by cutting to length or sorting out. The further processing of the glass tube semi-finished product (1) is adapted to the defect data (2-5; 30-31), which was read out for the glass tube semi-finished product (1). In this way, the further processing can be more efficiently adapted to the respective characteristics of a glass tube semi-finished product to be processed or a specific sub-section thereof. In particular, the relevant defects of the respective glass tube semi-finished product need not be determined or measured again. Rather, manufacturers of glass tube semi-finished products can easily use the defect data for further processing.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2a
