Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an LED backlight device in which a spacer is hardly broken and which can suppress positional deviation of a first optical sheet and a second optical sheet, and to provide an LED display device.SOLUTION: An LED backlight device 20 includes: an LED mounting substrate including a plurality of LED elements 42 mounted on one surface 41A of a wiring board 41; a first optical sheet 50 arranged so as to oppose to the LED elements 42; a second optical sheet 60 arranged on a light emission side of it; and a spacer including a first spacer part 71 for separating the first optical sheet 50 with respect to the LED mounting substrate, and a frame-like second spacer part 72 for surrounding an outer peripheral surface 50A of the first optical sheet 50, and for separating the second optical sheet 60 with respect to the first optical sheet 50.
