PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide compounds showing a therapeutic and/or preventive effect to eye diseases.SOLUTION: The therapeutic and/or preventive agent of eye diseases contains 4-{[(1R,2s,3S,5s,7s)-5-hydroxy-2-adamantyl]amino}-1H-pyrrolo[2,3-b]pyridine-5-carboxamide represented by the following formula or a salt thereof, the eye diseases being age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, diabetes macular edema, proliferation diabetic retinopathy, retinopathy of prematurity, retinal venous occlusion, Corts disease, macular telangiectasia, uveitis, scleritis, retinitis, optic neuritis, and rejection at the time of a cell allotransplantation.SELECTED DRAWING: None 【課題】眼疾患に対する治療及び／又は予防効果を示す化合物の提供。【解決手段】下式で表される４−｛［（１Ｒ，２ｓ，３Ｓ，５ｓ，７ｓ）−５−ヒドロキシ−２−アダマンチル］アミノ｝−１Ｈ−ピロロ［２，３−ｂ］ピリジン−５−カルボキサミド又はその塩を含有する眼疾患の治療及び／又は予防剤であり、眼疾患が、加齢黄斑変性、糖尿病網膜症、糖尿病黄斑浮腫、増殖糖尿病網膜症、未熟児網膜症、網膜静脈閉塞症、Ｃｏｒｔｓ病、黄斑部毛細血管拡張症、ブドウ膜炎、強膜炎、網膜炎、視神経炎、他家細胞移植時の拒絶反応等である治療及び／又は予防剤。【選択図】なし
