PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving support device capable of enabling a driver to recognize a low-visibility information display body with low visibility, by a virtual image that is displayed on a windscreen, and preventing a high-visibility information display body from unnecessarily becoming a virtual image.SOLUTION: A driving support device comprises: imaging means 4 which images a front side of a vehicle and acquires a vehicle front image; storage means 2 which stores map information; extraction means 11 for extracting a low-visibility information display body with low visibility, at the front side of the vehicle from the vehicle front image; class information acquisition means 13 which acquires a class of the low-visibility information display body from the map information; and display means by which a virtual image representing the class is overlapped with the low-visibility information display body and displayed on a windscreen.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】視認性の悪い低視認性情報表示体をフロントガラスに表示させた虚像により運転者に認識させることができると共に、視認性の良い情報表示体を不要に虚像化することを防止できるようにした運転支援装置を提供する。【解決手段】車両前方を撮像して車両前方画像を取得する撮像手段４と、地図情報を記憶する記憶手段２と、前記車両前方画像から、前記車両前方にある視認性の悪い低視認性情報表示体を抽出する抽出手段１１と、前記地図情報から、前記低視認性情報表示体の種別を取得する種別情報取得手段１３と、前記種別を表す虚像を、前記低視認性情報表示体に重ね合わせてフロントガラスに表示させる表示手段とを備える。【選択図】図１
