OPTICAL ARTICLE COMPRISING SURFACTANT-BASED TEMPORARY ANTI-FOG COATING WITH IMPROVED DURABILITY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical article comprising a surfactant-based temporary anti-fog coating with improved durability.SOLUTION: An optical article is provided, comprising a substrate having at least one main surface coated with a first coating and a precursor coating of an anti-fog coating provided in direct contact with this first coating. The precursor coating of the anti-fog coating is obtained through grafting of at least one organosilane compound comprising a polyoxyalkylene group comprising less than 80 carbon atoms, and at least one silicon atom bearing at least one hydrolyzable group, and is further coated with a film of a surfactant-containing composition containing at least one surfactant of a formula: F(CF)y-(CH-CHO)H (VIII), where x is an integer between 1 and 14, y is an integer lower than or equal to 10, and compounds of formula (VIII) in which y=6 are present in an amount of at least 90% by weight relative to the weight of the compounds (VIII) present in the composition.
