PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress reduction in the power saving effect while suppressing the occurrence of time-out.SOLUTION: An image formation apparatus includes: a power source unit which temporarily returns a processing unit in a power saving period, and temporarily returns the processing unit again when the return interval set by the processing unit elapses from the end of the temporal return of the processing unit; and a proxy response circuit which temporarily returns the processing unit when receiving a packet for which proxy response processing cannot be performed in a non-return period. The processing unit sets a period becoming the non-return period as an object period when it is assumed that the return interval in a period from the reference time point to the determination time point is an interval longer than the current value, determines whether or not the reception time point of a special packet indicated in the reception history from the reference time point to the determination time point becomes the time point in the object period, and changes the return interval to the interval longer than the current value if the reception time point of the special packet is not the time point in the object period.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 【課題】タイムアウトが発生するのを抑制しつつ、省電力効果が低下するのを抑制する。【解決手段】画像形成装置は、省電力期間に処理部を一時復帰させ、処理部の一時復帰が終了してから処理部により設定された復帰間隔が経過すると処理部を再度一時復帰させる電源部と、代理応答処理を行えないパケットを非復帰期間に受信すると処理部を一時復帰させる代理応答回路と、を備え、処理部は、基準時点から判定時点までの期間内において復帰間隔が現在値よりも長い間隔であったと仮定した場合に非復帰期間となる期間を対象期間に設定し、基準時点から判定時点までの受信履歴で示される特殊パケットの受信時点が対象期間内の時点となるか否かの判定を行い、特殊パケットの受信時点が対象期間内の時点とならなければ、復帰間隔を現在値よりも長い間隔に変更する。【選択図】図４
