TORQUE DETECTOR AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREOF

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a torque detector and its manufacturing method that can prevent a crack from occurring to peripheral members due to a contact of a circumferential direction end of a magnetic shield with the members around the magnetic shield.SOLUTION: A torque detector 1 includes: a magnetic flux collection holder 55 surrounding and holding an annular magnetic flux collection ring; and a magnetic shield 57 including a circumferential direction end 110 and attached to an outer periphery of the magnetic flux collection holder 55. The magnetic flux collection holder 55 includes a housing section 100 for housing the circumferential direction end 110 of the magnetic shield 57 in an internal space 101.
