Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: a positive electrode active material for a lithium secondary battery, which is superior in initial charge/discharge efficiency; a positive electrode for a lithium secondary battery; and a lithium secondary battery.SOLUTION: A positive electrode active material for a lithium secondary battery comprises powder of a lithium metal composite oxide represented by the general formula (1) below. The positive electrode active material includes: primary particles; and secondary particles each formed by agglomeration of the primary particles. The positive electrode active material for a lithium secondary battery is 1-3 m/g in BET specific surface area, and 10-100 MPa in average crushing strength of the secondary particles.
