Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid the temporary response delay of a nozzle vane, and appropriately determine a failure of a supercharger by appropriately detecting the fastening or excessive response delay of the nozzle vane.SOLUTION: A control method for an engine which includes a turbosupercharger 5 having a nozzle vane 5c capable of varying a flow path area for exhaust gas supplied to a turbine 5b includes a step of setting the target opening of the nozzle vane 5c and the target injection amount of fuel according to the operating condition of an engine E, a step of controlling the opening of the nozzle vane 5c to be the target opening, a step of restricting fuel supply to the engine E when a nozzle deviation as a difference between the actual opening and the target opening of the nozzle vane 5c is not smaller than a nozzle deviation threshold valve D, and a step of determining a failure of the turbosupercharger 5 under the failure determination condition that the state that the nozzle deviation is not smaller than the nozzle deviation threshold value Dcontinues for a preset time.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 【課題】ノズルベーンの一時的な応答遅れを解消させると共に、ノズルベーンの固着又は過度な応答遅れを適切に検出することにより過給機の故障を適切に判定する。【解決手段】タービン5bに供給される排気ガスの流路面積を可変可能なノズルベーン5cを有するターボ過給機5を備えたエンジンの制御方法は、エンジンEの運転状態に応じて、ノズルベーン5cの目標開度と燃料の目標噴射量とを設定する工程と、ノズルベーン5cの開度を目標開度に制御する工程と、ノズルベーン5cの実開度と目標開度との差であるノズル偏差がノズル偏差閾値DVGT以上である場合に、エンジンEへの燃料供給を制限する工程と、ノズル偏差がノズル偏差閾値DVGT以上である状態が所定時間、継続していることを故障判定条件として、ターボ過給機5が故障していると判定する工程とを有する。【選択図】図2
